Project Management
We can manage your project from award to completion, attending all meetings and preparing all of your project submittals, project correspondence, claims, change orders, and schedules. Additionally, we can track and monitor your project costs to better assist you in completing your project on time and within budget.
Structural Engineering Design
SMS can design most of the elements of your construction project. We engineer both temporary and permanent structures. Our professional engineers are licensed in several states. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic
SMS can design any maintenance and protection of traffic needs you may have including, but not limited to, single lane closures, double lane closures, sidewalk closures and detours, and nighttime lighting plans.
Development of Plans and Technical Specifications for Owners
We can prepare the contract drawings and detailed technical specifications to ensure your projects are completed properly in the manner you specify. The bid package will include the bidder’s proposal broken down as you specify as well as the construction agreement between the owner and contractor.
Inspection for Owners
Our inspectors, industrial hygienists, and Civil Engineers have worked in the construction industry for numerous years. We can oversee your project to ensure the contractor's complete compliance with the contract documents.
SMS can also perform a peer review of engineered drawings and calculations from other engineers as well as review other designs and sign and seal those drawings if the designer is not licensed in the State in which the work is being performed.
